OUR SERVICES

Visions of Hope services are designed to empower our clients and improve the quality of their lives based on their personal goals, needs and strength.

Our services are rendered in the following counties of Atlanta, GA: Barrow, Cherokee, Cobb, Douglas, Clayton, Dekalb, Fulton, Henry, Gwinnett, Newton, Rockdale, and Walton.

The goal of our services is designed to meet the educational, vocational, residential, mental health treatment, financial, social and other treatment support needs of the individual. The following services are offered to empower our clients and improve the quality of their lives based on their personal goals, needs and strength.

SERVICES

Services 

  • Behavioral Health Assessment:  This is a face-to-face assessment with the individual which includes the individual's input. It is used to determine problems, strengths, needs, abilities and preferences.

  • Psychological Testing:  This is a face to face assessment of the Individual's emotional functioning, personality, and cognitive functioning (thinking, attention, memory) or intellectual abilities.

​​

  • Diagnostic Assessment:  Face-face interview which includes a history and mental status exam.

​​

  • Crisis Intervention (CI): These services are directed toward assisting a Individual who is experiencing an abrupt and substantial change in behavior.  CI is designed to prevent out of community placement or hospitalization.

​​

  • Psychiatric treatment: Psychiatric evaluation, medication monitoring and management.

​​

  • Nursing Assessment and Health Services: The Nurse will monitor, evaluate and/or carry out a physician's orders regarding the physical and/or psychological problems of the Individual.

​​

  • Medication Administration:  The nurse will assist the Individual  who has been prescribed medications as a part of the treatment and either the individual or caregiver is unable to administer the medication. 

​​

  • Individual Counseling and Group Counseling:  These services will assist the person in identifying and resolving personal, social, vocational, intrapersonal and interpersonal concerns. Services are directed toward achievement of specific goals defined by the individual Individual. 

​​

  • Family Training and Counseling:   Although interventions may involve the family, the focus or primary beneficiary of intervention/ counseling must always be the individual Individual.

​​

  • Psychosocial Rehabilitation:  VONH focus on helping individuals develop skills and access resources needed to increase their capacity to be successful and satisfied in the living, working, learning and social environments of their choice and include a wide continuum of services and supports. PSR approaches support people to have a meaningful life focus on the determinants of good mental health, including employment, education, social supports, basic living skills, leisure and wellness.

  • Case Management:  VONH case managers utilize a holistic approach and a comprehensive database to connect individuals and their families to community resources. Case management includes person-centered planning, assessment, treatment planning, advocacy, service coordination, education, recreation, and vocational services.

  • Substance Abuse:  Addiction is a complex disease of the brain and body that involves compulsive use of one or more substances despite serious health and social consequences. It damages various body systems as well as families, relationships, schools, workplaces and neighborhoods VONH provides substance abuse assessments and counseling for individuals struggling with substance problems.

  • 24/7 days a week services: We are here for our clients 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Our clients can contact us or access the Georgia Hotline for immediate help in a crisis event: Access to Services Through GCAL. Individuals can access services directly through the provider they choose or through the Georgia Crisis and Access Line 1.800.715.4225
